In modern society, crime prevention is becoming one of the most important tasks facing educational institutions. One of the effective methods to achieve this goal is to organize excursions of students to correctional institutions. Such events allow young people to clearly see the consequences of criminal activity and realize the importance of compliance with the law.

On February 11, 2025, 4 students of Kostanay Polytechnic Higher College visited Institution No. 38 of the UIS Department in Kostanay region

The main purpose of the excursion is to form a conscious attitude among students to the consequences of offenses and crimes. During the visit to the correctional institution, students got acquainted with the work of the correctional institution. Visual examples of the life of prisoners, their history and fate help students realize what consequences a crime can lead to.

The students’ tour of the correctional facility is not just an educational event, but also an important step towards crime prevention. It helps young people realize the seriousness of the consequences of their actions and forms a responsible attitude towards life and society. A unique understanding of life from inside the correctional facility leaves a deep mark on students’ minds and encourages them to make responsible choices in the future.

During the tour, students visited a residential hut, production workshops where soap, wood utensils, metal structures and furniture are made. Students even managed to remove a sample of bread baked in a bakery. These practical observations and conversations with young children convicted under various articles contribute to a deeper understanding of the reality that convicts face and emphasize the importance of following the law. It is important to continue such initiatives to promote a safer and more legal society.
