Kazakh National Games – The Heritage of the People

Every nation has its own traditional games. Kazakh national games are an integral part of Kazakh culture. They combine echoes of both labor and spiritual activities. In each game, one can observe a unique ethnocultural experience, which can be interesting for both children and adults. Some national games have roots in ancient times, yet have survived to this day.

On September 18, 13 teams of first-year students from KPVK demonstrated their skills in the Kazakh national game “Asyk Atu.” The aim of the event was to instill Kazakh traditions, customs, and a love for their homeland and country through national games.

Asyk Atu is a popular Kazakh national game, where the goal is to knock out one or more asyks from a row from a certain distance. The knocked-out asyks become the property of the player.

The results of the Asyk Atu competition:

1st place – Sagandyk Didar, student of group PO-8

2nd place – Kapenov Nurlubek, student of group PO-8

3rd place – Khomyakov Egor, student of group PO-9

3rd place – Solodky Maksim, student of group PO-9.

All participants of the event were filled with energy, positivity, and good spirits.
