On October 22, Kostanay Polytechnic Higher College held curatorial hours on the theme “I praise you, my Fatherland, my Kazakhstan”, dedicated to the Republic Day, in which students of 1-4 courses took part.

The purpose of this event was: The ability to independently analyze situations, make choices and make decisions. Expanded knowledge of the history, culture, traditions and achievements of their country

Event objectives:

1. Awareness of unity with the people / state and personal responsibility for the development of their state.
2. The ability to critically analyze information for an objective assessment of events in the country and the world. Fluency in the state language, which helps to strengthen national identity.
3. High professional skills and competitiveness in the labor market. Readiness to protect the sovereignty and independence of Kazakhstan, including in the international arena

During the event, the speakers invited students to write a cinquain for the word “Motherland”, in the main part of the curatorial hour, in subgroups, work with a map of our Motherland and guess the city and region from the text read. In the final part of the event, the speakers with the students concluded that modernity teaches foresight, determination, responsibility, humanity, love of life and endurance. Any state has development strategies, the government sets achievable goals for the people. Each person must learn to set goals and strive to achieve them.

The contingent of students who took part in the curatorial hours: 1st year – 398; 2nd year – 312; 3rd year – 223; 4th year – 64; group leaders -39.
