From November 6 to November 8, 2024 in Kostanay Polytechnic Higher College was held “Lesson of Courage”, dedicated to the heroism of pilots of the Great Patriotic War. The main purpose of the event was to educate citizenship and devotion to the Motherland, as well as to preserve historical memory and traditions.

The lesson was conducted for students of groups ST-8 and M-14. During the event, video materials were presented about outstanding Kazakhstani pilots such as Talgat Begeldinov, Leonid Beda and Ivan Pavlov, each of whom flew more than 200 combat missions. Fighter pilot Sergei Lugansky shot down 37 enemy planes in individual and group battles. For bravery and heroism, the pilots were twice awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union.

The pilots operated in difficult conditions, bravely engaging in aerial combat and using ramming attacks to protect their troops and rear. After watching the video, the students actively asked questions and received detailed answers.

Today’s generation, brought up on the examples of heroism of their ancestors, also shows bravery and selflessness in modern conditions, following the traditions of combat camaraderie.
