Today, more than ever, the task of patriotic education of young people is urgent. The task of adults is to instill a sense of pride for their homeland, for their people, respect for all who fought, not sparing themselves, both at the front and in the rear.
The preservation of the historical heritage as a system-forming element of Kazakhstani patriotism, the upbringing of youth based on the values of national unity and respect for the history of the native country is central to the education of Kazakhstan.
In his program articles “The course towards future: Modernization of public consciousness” and “Seven Facets of the Great Steppe” N.А. Nazarbayev noted that preserving the code of national identity and comprehending the multifaceted and multidimensional history of the native country is an important condition for the modernization of the nation.
On September 25, volunteers of the Kostanay Polytechnic Higher College took part in a quest game dedicated to the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
The purpose of the event was to familiarize the younger generation with the Great Patriotic War and the role of Kazakhstanis in the Victory, to promote among young people the images of heroes who are an example for today’s generation.
Following the route sheets, teams performed seven tasks. Each of them is a test of knowledge and willingness to work in a team. Students were awaited by fascinating cognitive tasks dedicated to events, facts, historical figures of the Great Patriotic War.
During the game, the guys provided first aid, overcame obstacles with a wounded soldier, threw grenades, showed their knowledge about the Heroes of the Soviet Union, military equipment.
As a result of the quest game, the team of the Kostanay Polytechnic Higher College “Kind hearts” received the nomination “Experts”.
Carrying out a quest game is a very useful event for children, as it allows the participants to acquaint participants with the historical events of the Great Patriotic War in an interesting way, remind young people of the exploits of their great-grandfathers and preserve the historical memory of all the heroes of the war!
