“We are faithful to the bright memory”

On May 31, an event was held in Victory Park dedicated to the Day of Victims of Political Repression with the participation of the “Kind heart” volunteers.

The purpose of the event: to attract the students’ interest and emotional response to the events of the history of our country during the times of totalitarianism and Stalinist repression.

At the end of August 1941, the decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR on the deportation of Germans was adopted. The victims were all – and adults, and young people, and the elderly and even unborn children. Indiscriminately accused of mass espionage and “complicity with the enemy” guiltless Germans lost their homes, relatives and friends without guilt.

Not only the representatives of the older generation who saw much of their own eyes but also today’s youth gathered near the monument to the victims of political repressions. The rally “We are bright memories are true” began with a moment of silence

The congregation laid wreaths and flowers at the monument. This monument is a symbol of justice, of memory for those innocent souls who did not find comfort and justice in life. History gives us a chance to fix this.

The rally continued in the regional philharmonic society, on the stage of which the creative teams, soloists, authors-executors of the three countries appeared.

The information was prepared by the teacher-organizer Pushkareva A.V.
