From February 5 to 16, 2024, the Kostanay Polytechnic Higher College will host a Subject decade of the Department of Information and Economic Disciplines. The decade is held according to the college’s work plan in order to develop ICT competence, unlock the research potential of students and identify the most motivated and capable students.

Tasks of the decade: 

1. to create conditions for the development of students’ ability to independently solve practical problems in the field of software development of information and computing systems, Web applications;

2. involve students in independent creative activity;

3. to form universal and national values among students;

4. to improve the professional skills of teachers in the process of preparing, organizing and conducting open classes and extracurricular activities.

This decade includes events for students: the Olympiad in computer science, 7 extracurricular activities, the qualifying stage of the professional skills competition «WorldSkills Kostanay KPVK-2024» in the competencies «Web technologies», «Graphic Design», «Internet of Things», 2 round tables, 2 contests, 10 video tutorials, 6 open lessons, as well as the competition of pedagogical skills «Technician-innovator».
