The most important factor in the choice of profession of high school students is the position of senior family members (parents and close relatives).

The family is the space where the child’s attitude to work, to professional activity in general and to his/her future choice of profession, in particular, is formed. In this situation, it is important that parents share the responsibility of choice between themselves and their child.

All parents want to ensure a good future for their children – that they get a decent, reliable, well-paid profession. It is very important for parents to be in the role of counselors. Being in a situation of choice, children often feel confused and need the support of adults. It is very important for them that they are not alone on the difficult path of self-determination, that there is an adult, a native person who will support and help in any situation. This gives adolescents confidence in their abilities and encourages them to achieve achievements, now not academic but professional.

In order to conduct career guidance work on 4.04.2024 was held a meeting with parents of schoolchildren of 9 classes of school № 17 of Kostanay city. Teachers of general education disciplines of Kostanay Polytechnic Higher College Beisenova Hamar Bayazitovna, Khusainova Ainash Tulebaevna provided full information about our educational institution, the timing of the admission committee and open days, about specialties, the necessary documents for admission, terms of study and prospects for obtaining such an important and necessary profession. Parents listened attentively, asked questions about employment of our graduates, the possibility of obtaining additional education. The meeting was dynamic, we are waiting for young applicants in our college!
