On March 5, 2024, in group 2E – 14, specialty 07130700 “Maintenance, repair and operation of electromechanical equipment” (by type and industry), a curatorial hour was held at Kostanay Polytechnic Higher College on the topic: “How beautiful this world is, look!”.

The purpose of the curatorial hour was: the formation of resilience, stress tolerance, positive self-awareness and effective communication skills.

The tasks set during the event were as follows:

– contribute to the formation of life values;

– develop and maintain positive self-awareness and self-esteem;

– to develop constructive interaction skills (teamwork, behavior in a conflict situation, creation of a favorable psychological climate in the team);

– to provide psychological and pedagogical support, assistance to children and adolescents who find themselves in a difficult life situation;

– to form in adolescents a positive self-awareness of their own personality and the personality of other people;

– to organize the inclusion of teenagers in value-relevant activities for them.

During the curatorial hour, students got acquainted with the concept of resilience, stress resistance, and learned about the forms of achieving effective communication.

The form of the curatorial hour was a discussion, students answered questions, they were presented with several practical exercises “The Tree of Happiness”, where each student individually depicted his desires and aspirations in the form of a tree with branches, an exercise game “My mood”, where the task was to depict the mood in which everyone often arrives for one reason or another The reason for this is the “Good friend” exercise, where it was necessary to describe your friend, his qualities, maybe some shortcomings, as well as what you like to do with him together. The students were very active, gave many examples, and there was a lively dialogue.

At the end of the curatorial hour, a reflection was held, where everyone expressed their opinion and shared their impressions.
