On the eve of the winter session, an action called “Clean Session” was held at the Mechanical and Technological Department of Kostanay Polytechnic Higher College. This event is aimed at creating a favorable atmosphere for students of the specialties 07150100 “Technology of mechanical engineering (by type)” and 07211200 “Elevator, milling, cereal and feed production”. The participants of the action were students studying for the qualifications 4S07150106 Mechanical Technician and 4S07211203 Process Technician.

Goals and objectives of the campaign

The main purpose of the Clean Session campaign is to motivate students to perform their academic duties in good faith, develop responsibility and honesty in the exam process. The campaign promotes:

• The formation of academic integrity among students;
• Maintaining a high level of discipline;
• Improving the level of exam preparation;
• Creating conditions to prevent violations during the examination period.

The course of the action

The campaign started with explanatory meetings with students. The curators of the groups held talks in which they emphasized the importance of observing academic ethics and the inadmissibility of using cheat sheets and other auxiliary tools that contradict the principles of honesty.

The students were also reminded about the possibility of getting advice from teachers on complex topics.

Results

As a result of the “Clean Session” campaign, students of the Mechanics and Technology Department demonstrated a high level of responsibility and readiness for the exam period. The Clean Session campaign has become an important step towards developing students’ skills that will be useful not only in their studies, but also in their future professional activities. The Mechanical Engineering Department plans to continue holding such events, supporting students on their way to their educational and professional goals.
