In December 2019, in order to discuss urgent issues of the TVE system in the city of Nur – Sultan, a round table was held by the Non-commercial Joint Stock Company “Holding “Kasipkor” as part of the study “The Turin Process in Kazakhstan”.
The round table was attended by representatives of the European Education Foundation, Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Atameken National Chamber of Entrepreneurs, Center for the Development of Human Resources, Information and Analytical Center, UNESCO, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development Institute of Economic Research, JSC “Orleu”, National Academy of Education named after S. Altynsarin, accreditation bodies, Nur-Sultan modernization center, the TVE and PC center of the East Kazakhstan region, association of chefs “KAZENERGY” and colleges from the Nur-Sultan, Kostanay, Pavlodar, Turkestan regions. Kostanay Polytechnic Higher College was represented at the seminar by the deputy director for scientific and methodological work, Kaypbaeva Zhuldyz Shamilyevna.
Algazinova Kalamkas Magauovna,the department head of the Department of Technical and Vocational Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Kuzenbaev Ermek Bakytovich, president of the Non-commercial Joint Stock Company “Holding “Kasipkor” welcomed the participants, Ermek Bakytovich noted that he expects the correct priorities to be set from this meeting
The round table was held in 3 sessions:
First, the results of the study “The Torino Process in Kazakhstan” in 2019, conducted at the national level.
In this session, the Director of the Department of Strategic Planning, Analysis and IT Support Akhmetova Aizhan Toleukyzy spoke on the topic “The Turin Process in Kazakhstan: Results, Recommendations, Prospects”. Ayzhan Toleukyzy talked about the state of TVE, the impact of the labor market, the social environment on TVE and what trends have occurred over 5 years and shared the identified problems in the TVE system.
Second, discussion of recommendations on identified issues.
In this session, work was organized in 4 groups. Participants discussed what recommendations can be made to address identified issues.
Third, a discussion of the priority areas of the study “The Turin Process in Kazakhstan” for 2020.
Participants identified and discussed priority topics for the study of the Turin Process for 2020 and presented the results of the discussion.
In addition, Georgius Zisimos, Senior European Policy Officer for the ETF in the field of vocational education and training, spoke on the topic “Copenhagen process and the future of vocational education”, the presentation with the strategic plans of the European Union for the next 7 years, namely career management, on-the-job training location, lifelong learning, public-private partnerships and “Centers of Excellence ”.
Also the main manager of the Department for Project Coordination and Partnership, Aimbimbova Bota spoke about the implementation of the Zhas Maman project.
In conclusion, K. Hemshemeier, senior expert at the European Education Foundation and Bozhenov Askar, chief manager of the strategic planning, analysis and IT support department, summed up the results of the round table.
