“Young specialist” project was developed in accordance with the order of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan N. A. Nazarbayev, given at the opening ceremony of the Year of Youth on January 23, 2019.

By the Decree of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Amendments and Additions to the State Program for the Development of Productive Employment and Mass Entrepreneurship for 2017 – 2021,“Labour ”,  Holding Kusipkor was designated to be responsible for the project.

The goal of the project is to modernize 180 colleges and 20 universities in 100 of the most popular professions and introduce international experience in training qualified specialists.

Educational institutions will undergo international industry accreditation, after which competence centers will be created on their basis and a system of mass courses for youth training will be built.

In turn, the new centers will have to become the basis for business incubators and technology parks through which it is planned to organize financing of innovative start-up projects of youth.

Kostanay Polytechnic Higher College in the framework of the project allocated a grant in the amount of 327 348 151 tenge. These funds were used to purchase the material and technical base for the declared specialties. It is planned to create new laboratories and workshops:

– specialty 1219000 “Bakery, pasta and confectionery production”:

1. laboratory for competence “Confectionery”;
2. Laboratory for the competence of “Bakery”.

– specialty 0902000 “Power supply (by industry)”:

1. Study room “Power supply and theoretical foundations of electrical engineering”;
2. Training room on electrical safety;
3. Study room on electric machines and transformers, electric drives and AC;
4. Study room on relay protection, automation and quality of electric energy of electric power plants;
5. Training room for installation, commissioning and repair of electrical installations;
6. Renewable energy study room.

There will be the following results result of the “Young specialist” project at the Kostanay Polytechnic Higher College:

1) modern equipment necessary for the training of specialists demanded at the national and international levels in the specialties 1219000 “Bakery, pasta and confectionery production”, 0902000 “Power supply (by industry)”;

2)  creation of a Competence Center on the basis of a higher college for the Kostanay region;

3) preparation of participants for WorldSkills championships.
