On February 18, 2019, a “Job Fair” was held at the Kostanay Polytechnic Higher College in the following specialties:

• 1014000 “Engineering technology” (by type). Qualifications: 1014023 mechanical technician;
• 1216000 “Elevator, flour, cereals and feed production.” Qualifications: 1216063 technician technologist;
• 1219000 “Bakery, macaroni and confectionery production”. Qualifications: 1219243 technician technologist.

The purpose of the event is to assist in the employment of graduates of higher colleges, the development of social partnership and the provision of enterprises of the city and region with qualified young professionals.

In total, 128 students visited the fair.

The leading universities of Kostanay region were invited to the fair:

• Kostanay State University named after A. Baitursynov;
• Kostanay Engineering and Economic University named after M. Dulatov;
• Kostanay social-technical university named after Z.Aldamzhar.

Students were provided with comprehensive information about the rules and deadlines for accepting documents for admission to the university on a grant and on a fee basis, on specialties, on the possibility of international internship, information booklets were distributed.

Also at the fair were potential employers – the social partners of the higher college, on whose bases the students did their internships:

6. LLP «Астыкжан» – Igor Alekseevich Kalugin, production manager;
7. ME «Лопатина О.В.», confectionary shop “Lyubimaya Eva” – Ziyadina Bagila Sergazievna, personnel department inspector;
8. LLP «Агро-Корм» – Osmanov Nazim Aladinovich, Director;
9. LLP «Pioneer-Luxs» – Ischanova Saule Kairatovna, laboratory assistant;
10. LLP «Астык трейд» -Sagidullina Raysha Tyulyubaevna, head of industrial and technological laboratory.

During the event, graduate students got acquainted with the requirements of employers (invited employers expressed their wishes for future employees, gave instructions to graduates for young specialists), received information about vacancies in enterprises, offered their resumes, employers could personally meet with future employees.

Graduate students, without leaving the college, had the opportunity to leave their resumes to employers, get answers to their questions, have an interview. As a result, many of them decided on the choice of an employer, concluding a preliminary agreement.

The job fair provided an opportunity for the graduate to form the first view of the labor market, about the opportunities and prospects within the framework of the profession he chose, to learn more about potential employer companies. The employer participating in the job fair had the opportunity to get acquainted with the applicant’s resume on the spot, to invite potential candidates for the interview.

The job fair showed that the preparation of competitive specialists is a priority task of the higher college, and the employment of graduates in accordance with the received specialty is one of the main activities of Kostanay Polytechnic Higher College.
