As part of the implementation of the educational work plan at Kostanay Polytechnic Higher College, groups of 1-4 years held mentoring hours on the topic “How not to become a victim of bullying?” (Protection from cyberbullying, violence prevention)

The purpose of the mentoring hour was:

1. To draw the attention of students to the problem of cruel and neglectful treatment of children;
2. To form in the student environment the conviction of an intolerant attitude towards cruel treatment of children;
3. To increase the level of legal protection of children from any form of violence.

During the mentoring hours, students revealed the concepts of bullying and cyberbullying, as well as the types and causes of bullying.

The students talked about the types and consequences of violence. They discussed each type of violence in groups: mental violence, physical violence, lack of care (neglect of the needs of the child), sexual violence.

They also gave examples of online bullying, talked about how to avoid it and solutions that help find a way out of a situation when a person becomes a victim of cyberbullying.

During the event, the legal basis for combating domestic violence in Kazakhstan, criminal liability for offenses related to domestic violence, issues of evidence in cases of domestic violence and methods of recording evidence, the practice of considering administrative offenses related to domestic violence were considered.
