On February 28, 2025, a meeting of the family club “We Are Together” with parents of students was held at the Kostanay Polytechnic Higher College. The purpose of this event was to discuss the topic of preventing self-destructive behavior among students, as well as to study the forms of effective verbal communication in the “Parent-Child” communication. During the event, the club members discussed current issues related to the prevention of self-destructive behavior among students. Particular attention was paid to the topic “Conversation with a Modern Teenager”, within the framework of which parents received recommendations on establishing trusting relationships with children and effective communication with them. The topics “Soul of a Child”, “One Day in the Life of Masha” and “Living House” were also discussed, aimed at understanding the inner world of teenagers and creating a favorable family atmosphere. Parents took part in the discussions, shared their experiences and asked questions to the psychologist. The event resulted in parents becoming more aware of the problem of self-destructive behavior among students, as well as gaining practical skills for effective communication with teenagers. At the end of the event, parents’ opinions were heard, who noted the usefulness and relevance of the meeting.
