From October 1^st to October 2^nd, 2020 the regional championship “WorldSkills-Kostanay 2020” in the competence “Mobile Robotics” was held on the basis of the “Kostanay Polytechnic Higher College”.

          The competition was attended by 4 young specialists from the Kostanay Polytechnic Higher College, (Kostanay) and the Kazakhstan Agrotechnical College, (Karabalyk village). Our college was the main organizer.

         The event was held in a new IT center, which was just opened this academic year, equipped with in the framework of robotics.

       Each participant had an individual place of work, specialized equipment and previously purchased robotic kits for the specifics of the competition.

            A large wholesale store, which is equipped with an automated system for delivering goods from a warehouse to a trading floor, was taken as a platform for the competition task. The Test Project implied an autonomous system of interconnection between a warehouse and a sales area. When selling a certain product, managers will only need to enter data about the product into the system so that the robotic loader can find this product in the warehouse, load it and deliver it to the trading floor for the continuous operation of the store.

           The Test Project was divided into 3 modules:

– Module 1. Teams, in manual control mode with direct line of sight, need to load the goods according to the order and deliver them to the trading floor area according to the competition field development plan.

– Module 2. Teams, in manual telecontrol mode, being NOT in line of sight, need to load the goods according to the order and deliver them to the trading floor area according to the competition field development plan.

– Module 3. Teams, in autonomous control mode with direct line of sight, need to load the goods according to the order and deliver them to the trading floor area according to the competition field development plan.

The main expert on the site was Denis Nikolayevich Komarov.

        According to the results of the regional championship, the worthy winners were determined. The Worldskills Kostanay Championship on the competencies “Mobile Robotics”
