At Kostanay Polytechnic Higher College, heads of departments Balguzhinova Zh.E. and Kunitsyna S.N. conducted explanatory work on the Code of Academic Integrity for first-year students of the Specialty: 06130100 Software (by type), 04110100-Accounting and audit, 07210300-Bakery, pasta and confectionery production, 07880100-Standardization, metrology and certification (by industry)
Special attention was paid to the concepts of the code of academic integrity and the “Clean session” campaign. Students were explained in detail that these initiatives are aimed at creating an honest and transparent learning environment. The Clean Session campaign is designed to develop such qualities in students as honesty, responsibility and intolerance to any forms of academic dishonesty, including cheating, plagiarism and bribery.
The goal of the campaign is to create conditions for passing exams and tests without using illegal methods.
The Code of Academic Honesty is a set of rules that define the ethical standards of student behavior during their studies. It establishes clear boundaries between honest and dishonest academic activity.
The main principles of the code:

• Integrity: Completing all assignments without outside help.
• Implementation of protection of the author’s rights: Exclusion of plagiarism and cheating.
• Openness: Transparency, mutual trust.
• Equality: the responsibility of each student to comply with these rules.
  Why is it so important to comply with the Code of Academic Honesty?

  Violation of the code may lead to serious consequences:

  During the explanatory work, the following materials were presented to students:
• Information on the consequences of academic dishonesty.

  The importance of the “Clean Session” campaign and the code of academic honesty can hardly be overestimated. These initiatives contribute to the creation of an atmosphere of trust and cooperation in the college, increase the prestige of the educational institution and help to form a new generation of honest and responsible specialists.
  An important point is that compliance with the code of academic honesty is not only a requirement, but also a personal choice of each student.
