Once Mukhtar Auezov said about the personality and work of Saken Seyfullin: “Saken’s truthfulness awakened the heart and mind, inspired. If he spoke about feelings, it was a genuine feeling, if he spoke about the truth, it was the truth suffered by the soul. Therefore, the path taken by this man is unusual. It had both ups and downs. Saken Seyfullin’s path is the path of a truly fiery akyn.” In order to implement the “Birtutas tarbiye” Program, curatorial hours were held at the Kostanay Polytechnic Higher College for 1st-4th year students on the topic “A thorny but true path”, dedicated to the 130th anniversary of Saken Seyfullin’s birth. The main goals of the curatorial hour were:

1. Formation of a value attitude to education, the desire to be needed and useful for their homeland, acquaintance with an outstanding figure of Kazakh literature, his poetry; development of cognitive interests in the field of history of Kazakhstan, moral education.
2. Formation of an active life position, professionally significant qualities and readiness to manifest them in various spheres of society.
3. Focus on self-education and self-development, development of creative qualities of the individual.

During the event, students made a cluster for the word Homeland, worked in groups, each group completed tasks on the biography and work of S. Seifullin, correlated the presence of cultural and historical objects dedicated to Saken Seifullin with geographical places on the map. In the Poetic Kaleidoscope, students assembled puzzles, matched the title of a poem to a picture and expressively recited poems.

At the end of the curatorial hour, the children came to the conclusion that Saken Seifullin was an outstanding poet, writer and politician, he did a lot for his country.
