On December 9 in Kostanay Polytechnic Higher College among students of 1-3 courses there was a curatorial hour dedicated to one of the most important topics of our time – the importance and protection of water. The event gathered students, who with great interest discussed the role of water in the life of man and the planet as a whole.

The purpose of the curatorial hour was to systematize students’ knowledge about water as the most important natural resource, as well as to form a culture of careful attitude to water and the desire to save this valuable resource.

During the event, students learned a lot of interesting things about water: its role in nature, problems of water pollution and ways to solve them. Lecturers told about the water cycle in nature, how water affects the climate and the life of all living organisms.

Special attention was paid to the rational use of water. The students discussed how each of them can contribute to the conservation of water resources by refraining from unnecessary waste of water in the home, reducing the use of household chemicals and properly disposing of waste.

As a result of the event, the students came to the conclusion that water is a priceless gift of nature, which should be protected and preserved. They realized that each of them can contribute to solving the global problem of fresh water scarcity.The contingent of the event participants was 879 people
