The question of preparing schoolchildren for life and professional self-determination in modern socio-economic conditions is becoming more and more urgent. A professional test simulates elements of a specific type of professional activity, contributes to a conscious, informed choice of professions.

On April 09, 2021, on the basis of the Kostanay Polytechnic Higher College, professional tests were held in full-time format. 75 schoolchildren who are already interested in choosing a profession came to touch the profession.

Conducting professional vocational tests is, of course, an important element in the vocational guidance of schoolchildren. Already today, adolescents can think about their future careers, assess how important and interesting they are to the tasks of a particular specialty, and also get the first skills and competencies.

Pupils of 9 classes of schools in Kostanay had a unique opportunity – to pass professional tests in the specialties “Power supply”, “Computing equipment and software (by type)”, “Bakery, pasta and confectionery production”, “Standardization, metrology and certification (by industry) “,” Accounting and audit (by industry) “,” Elevator, flour, cereal and feed production “,” Engineering technology “.

 Teachers of special disciplines conducted master classes for school students, gave the students the opportunity to assemble the power supply circuit themselves and check its performance, test the strength of the elements of mechanical systems, carry out laboratory analysis, readings of control and measuring devices of elevator, flour, cereal and feed production, draw up budget plans of the organization, work with number systems, ciphers and codes, take part in the manufacture of bakery and confectionery products.

         Future applicants liked to try themselves in their future profession.
