The regional championship was held on the basis of the Kostanay Polytechnic Higher College from September 28 to October 02, 2020 in accordance with the rules for organizing and holding the Worldskills Kazakhstan championship.

The competition for the competence “Confectionery” was held from 29/09 to 30/09. Five participants from colleges of Kostanay region took part in the competition

The main expert on the site was Zh.E. Balguzhinova.

        A.M. Saidov, senior lecturer at the Kostanay Regional University named after A. Baitursynov observed the site as an independent expert.

        The tasks for the competition corresponded to the tasks of the WS-2019 National Championship. All tasks were divided into modules. On the first day, the module A-preparation of cakes and module B-preparation of sweets were performed, the following characteristic were described: taste,  theme of the competition, weight, color, etc.

         On the 2nd day, participants worked on module C and D. They cooked a two-tier cake and deal with  modeling (working with mastic).

      Within the framework of the Zhas-maman project, the participants were provided with new labaratory, where each participant worked on specialized equipment. All participants and experts were satisfied with the laboratory.

        According to the results of the regional championship, worthy winners of Worldskills Kostanay Championship in the “Confectionery” competencies were determined.
