On January 20, 2026, the Career Trial event took place at Kostanay Polytechnic Higher College (KPVC) for 9th-grade students from city schools.

The goal of the event was to introduce students to in-demand technical and vocational professions, help them make an informed career choice, and increase interest in vocational education.

146 students participated from the following schools:

School №7 — 15 students;

School №8 — 10 students;

School №11 — 53 students;

School №12 — 23 students;

School №13 — 11 students;

School №14 — 34 students.

Students explored the following professions:

Bakery, pasta, and confectionery production;

Mechanical engineering technology;

Elevator, flour, cereal, and feed production;

Automation and control of technological processes;

Software development;

Maintenance and repair of electromechanical equipment;

Accounting and auditing;

Standardization, metrology, and certification.

Teachers conducted practical sessions, explained the specifics of professions, study conditions, and employment prospects. Students had the opportunity to ask questions and try themselves as future specialists.

Career trials help students with early career guidance and make an informed choice of further educational trajectory.
