In the conditions of rapid development of technologies and changes in the labor market, the training of qualified specialists is one of the leading tasks of the system of professional education. A special role in this process is played by vocational guidance work aimed at helping young people to choose their future profession.

April 22, 2024 teachers of Kostanay Polytechnic Higher College S.S. Izdelyueva and R.N. Lazarev held an event, the purpose of which was to familiarize students of 9 classes KSU “Basic Secondary School № 14 of Kostanay” with the prospects of vocational education.

Vocational guidance work was conducted at a high level: schoolchildren were provided with detailed information about the specialties offered by the college, about its material and technical base and about the events held at various levels. Such interaction helps students to visualize their future studies and career opportunities more fully.

At the end of the meeting, the students received promotional and informational materials that will help them make an informed choice in favor of a particular specialty. The teachers also answered numerous questions from the students, which further deepened their interest in the programs offered.

Such career guidance work not only contributes to the formation of a motivated and informed approach to the choice of profession among young people, but also provides training of exactly those specialists who will be in demand on the labor market in the future. This is critical for the sustainable development of the economy and ensuring the independence of the state in terms of professional skills.
