Lecture on “HIV Infection: Transmission Routes and Prevention Principles”

On December 1, 2025, a lecture on “HIV Infection: Transmission Routes and Prevention Principles” was held at the Kostanay Polytechnic College, dedicated to World AIDS Day.

The lecture was delivered by Qardon Serik Auyzbayuly, a specialist from the Department of Preventive Work of the Kostanay Regional Center for AIDS Prevention and Control.

During the event, students received detailed information about:
• routes of HIV transmission;
• individual prevention measures;
• modern methods of protection against sexually transmitted infections;
• the importance of regular testing;
• the significance of developing a responsible attitude toward personal health.

Special attention was given to debunking myths about HIV, explaining the difference between facts and misconceptions, as well as addressing issues of social responsibility and support for people living with HIV.

The lecture was conducted in an interactive format: students had the opportunity to ask questions, receive qualified answers, discuss real-life situations, and explore recommendations for safe behavior. This approach helped them better understand the material and made the session practical and memorable.

Students from the following groups took part in the event: A-4, EC-25, E-16, PO-10, PO-11, E-15, M-14.

The event became an important part of the college’s educational and preventive work and helped students recognize the importance of HIV prevention in their daily lives.
