On March 5, 2025, physical education teachers held cross-country skiing competitions for 1st-4th year students at the sports ground of the Kostanay Polytechnic Higher College. The purpose of this event was to involve students in physical education and health activities, promote a healthy lifestyle, prepare students for competitions and attract young people to systematic physical education and sports. Young men had to cover a distance of 1000 m, and girls a distance of 500 m in free running. As a result, the places in the 16-year-old boys’ category were distributed as follows:

1st place Dmitry Marinenko, group M-14                                                                                                2nd place Darkhan Kusmanov, group M-13                                                                                        3rd place Ernar Turlybek, group A-3

In the 17-year-old and older boys’ category:

1st place Vasily Makalov, group M-12                                                                                                                  2nd place Konstantin Ziborov, group M-14                                                                                            3rd place Stanislav Kashtalinchuk, group M-12

In the 16-year-old girls’ category:

1st place Anna Zakarlyukina, group HP-26                                                                                                                    2nd place Dilnaz Maktybaeva, group ST-7                                                                                                                 3rd place Valentina Savelyeva, group HP-25

In the 17-year-old and older girls’ category:

1st place Marina Ziborova, group ST-6                                                                                        2nd place Nargiz Ormanbekova, group B-5                                                                                            3rd place Karina Ivanova, group PO-9

The winners and prize-winners were awarded with certificates of honor and medals. All participants received a boost of energy and a good mood. The competition became a real celebration of sports, health and youth!
