Can we forget Afghan? Impossible…

On February 15, 1989, the withdrawal of Soviet troops from Afghanistan was completed. On this day, at 04:21 pm, the last Soviet soldier passed the Friendship Bridge across the Amu Darya, leaving Afghanistan.

And now this day is celebrated in Kazakhstan as the Day of veterans of high-risk insecurity areas.

On the eve of the memorable date, the library of the college organized an exhibition “Afghan War”. There are books, photographs, poems of Afghan warriors.
