Mechanical Engineering Department

The mission of the department is to become a competitive educational and scientific center for the training of specialists in mechanics and technology and profile, focused on participating in solving urgent problems of Kazakhstan’s development, capable of taking the position of a leader in their professional and personal development.

The purpose of the mechanical and technological department is to implement the requirements for the QMS regulated by the international standard, to continuously improve the effectiveness of the QMS, as well as:

• establishment of the department as the leading scientific and educational center of the college for the training of specialists;

• improvement of the educational process, effective organization and interaction in the integration of disciplines, implementation of joint research and methodological projects;

Terms of study: on the basis of 9 classes – 3, 10 months.

The purpose of the educational program is training of specialists engaged in the organization, management and control of technological processes for the production of elevators, flour mills, cereals and compound feeds

The objectives of the educational program are:

• implementation of a training program for technologists, mechanical technicians who know the necessary technologies in the field of elevator, milling, grain and feed production and have fundamental training in basic and specialized disciplines that provide the student with the opportunity to further independently improve the level of training;

• providing the student with knowledge, abilities, skills and competencies that allow them to see, analyze and find ways to solve tasks in the field of professional activity using modern technologies and the results of research work;

• formation of highly qualified specialists who are able to adapt to the changing situation in the field of work, on the one hand, and continue professional growth and education, on the other;

• the formation of success for each student, which is created by the organization of the educational process itself, where the student can and should manage his own training, which teaches him to take responsibility for his own training, and later for his own professional growth and career.

Specialists trained in the OP will have the following competencies:

• Comply with the technological regimes of elevator, flour milling, cereal and feed production;

• Conduct technological processes for transporting grain and its processed products using pneumatic conveying and ventilation systems, preparing grain for grinding and sieving grain grinding products;

• Install and stretch sieves on separators and sieves;

• Ensure the set operating mode of the serviced equipment;

• Organization of production processes;

• Comply with the requirements for quality and finished products;

• Comply with the rules of the work performed and sanitary requirements;

• To control and keep records of the costs of raw materials and auxiliary materials;

• Control the quality of grain preparation for grinding, grain grinding and sifting of grinding products, equipment loads and machine performance based on laboratory analysis data, readings of control and measuring devices;

• Ensure the interaction of grain cleaning, grinding and knockout departments equipment;

• Ensure and monitor compliance with the standards for the output of finished products;

• Maintain technical documentation;

• To prevent and eliminate the causes of deviations from the norms of the technological regime of grain grinding;

• To conduct technological processes for the preparation of raw materials for the production of compound feeds.

In the process of industrial (professional) practice, the student is obliged to consolidate and deepen the knowledge gained in the learning process, acquire knowledge on all types of professional activities.

Mechanical engineering is the most widespread and universal specialty required at any enterprises of mechanical engineering, instrument engineering, repair and many other industries.

Mechanical engineering technology is a specialty for those who strive to learn how to do something with their own hands, who are ready to operate modern CNC machines and industrial robots, perform drawings on a computer, sharpen parts on a machine, organize their business.

The purpose of the educational program is to provide high–quality specialized and scientific and pedagogical education in the field of mechanical engineering, training specialists who are able to solve modern scientific problems of mechanical engineering, independently solve issues of design, creation and operation of new technological processes and machines.

• carry out metrological inspection of products;

• design and read simple diagrams of electric, hydraulic and pneumatic drives;

• acquisition of practical skills in the design and technological processes of machine-building production (procurement, mechanical processing and assembly of machines), mathematical processing of research results, compilation of technological processes using modern information technologies.

The types of professional activity of a graduate of this specialty are:

• organization of production at the site – the master of the site (mechanical, mechanical assembly, boiler and welding, etc.);

• organization of technical control of machine-building products – the master controller of the OTC;

• organization of technical preparation of production (development of technological documentation for the manufacture of a product) – technologist of the workshop or department of the chief technologist of the enterprise;

• design activity (development of designs of parts and assemblies of machines and apparatuses, technological equipment, devices) – design technician.
