December 11, 2024 in Kostanay Polytechnic Higher College held a meeting, during which representatives of the Department of Defense Affairs of the city of Kostanay and veterans of local wars were invited.

The event was attended by 1st year students from groups M-14, ST-8, M-13, B-7, PO-9, TZ-30, B-6, KP-25, A-3, КР-26, E-15, ES-24.

At the beginning of the meeting, the head of the group of educational and ideological work of the Department of Defense Affairs, Junior Sergeant Shapobieva Irina Ismagylovna. She told about the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the peculiarities of conscription, explained how conscription service differs from contract service. Also were considered the selection criteria, conditions of admission, the level of allowances, as well as social guarantees and benefits for military personnel.

Then the veteran of local wars Druskeldinov Erlan Ergalievich discussed the issues of patriotic education of youth and increasing the prestige of military service in the country.

As part of the event, students were shown a video about military and contractual service, demonstrated new types of weapons and military equipment.

The event ended with a lively discussion and questions from the students. Young people actively asked questions, realizing that their participation in the army can play an important role not only in ensuring the country’s security, but also in its further development and well-being.
