April 1, 2026 аs part of a large-scale project for the prevention of juvenile delinquency initiated by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan , Kostanay Polytechnic Higher College held special screenings for 1st and 2nd-year students.

About the Films

Students were presented with the documentary films “Not Bookmarks” (Ne knizhnye zakladki) and “Hooligan Girl” (Khuliganka). These projects are aimed at:

• Explaining the consequences of offenses and crimes related to the use and distribution of narcotic substances.
• Combating manifestations of bullying and aggression in the youth environment.
• Focusing the attention of teenagers on their responsibility before the law.

“Film Discussion” Format and Expert Participation

The screening was not limited to just the credits. After the films, a deep discussion (film analysis) of the content took place. The event was attended by:

• A precinct police inspector for juvenile affairs, who explained legal aspects and the consequences of illegal actions.
• The parent community, who actively joined the dialogue about children’s safety.
• College administration, psychologists, and social educators, who helped the students analyze what they saw.

This format allows students not just to see a picture, but to realize how one mistake can change their entire future life. Joint viewing and subsequent analysis are effective tools for forming legal consciousness among students.

Importance of the Event

Organizing mass screenings of documentaries in all colleges, regardless of the form of ownership, is intended to protect youth from involvement in dangerous criminal schemes. Such events help 1st and 2nd-year students navigate the legal field better and make an informed choice in favor of a safe future.
