On February 20, 2026, a meeting of the family club was held at the Kostanay Polytechnic Higher College – a training meeting for parents of students on the topic: “Forms of effective communication between parents and children.”

The purpose of this event was to create an atmosphere of trust and openness, teach parents methods of effective verbal interaction, develop the skills of active listening and understanding the emotional needs of adolescents.

During the event, the participants studied the theoretical foundations of the psychology of adolescence and the principles of building trusting relationships. Particular attention was paid to practical exercises: in the “Active Listening” technique, parents learned to hear the child’s feelings without interrupting or evaluating him. As part of role-playing games, participants modeled difficult life situations – discussing educational failures and plans for the future, practicing the skills of constructive dialogue and using “I-messages” instead of criticism.

At the end of the event, the views of parents were heard, who noted the importance of the knowledge gained for conflict prevention. The participants conducted a reflection, discussed homework – the use of new ways of communicating with the family – and received memos with key recommendations for strengthening the psychological climate in the house.
