On November 19, a preventive event on the topic “AIDS is a trap of death” was held at the Kostanay Polytechnic Higher College, timed to coincide with World AIDS Day.

HIV infection remains one of the most serious problems in modern society. The purpose of the event was to raise awareness of students about the ways of HIV transmission, methods of prevention and modern treatment options.

During the event, students took part in an interactive lecture, where the medical worker of the college Amanzhulova Gulbike Kadyrbaevna spoke about what HIV is, how it is transmitted and how you can protect yourself from infection. Common myths about HIV were dispelled and the importance of responsible behaviour was stressed.
