On September 27, parent-teacher meetings were held in Kostanay Polytechnic Higher College within each group on the topic of “Prevention of self-destructive behavior, bullying/cyberbullying, and violence against minors.”
The goal of the meeting was to familiarize parents with the problem of self-destructive behavior among adolescents, bullying/cyberbullying, gaming addiction, and violence against minors, and to draw parents’ attention to the issues of child-adult relationships and provide preventive assistance to parents.
Objectives:
– Study, summarize, and systematize theoretical and practical material on the issues of self-destructive behavior, bullying/cyberbullying, gaming addiction, and violence against minors;
– Encourage parents to reflect and evaluate their relationships with their children;
– Shape parents’ understanding of various methods of child-parent relationships;
– Promote the development of parents’ understanding of true parental authority and the importance of manifesting it in their relationships with children.
During the meeting, group leaders addressed four areas:
1. Prevention of self-destructive behavior.
2. Prevention of bullying/cyberbullying.
3. Prevention of gaming addiction.
4. Prevention of violence against minors.
At the end of the event, group leaders distributed safety guidelines to parents. Recommendations were given to parents on controlling and preventing self-destructive behavior, gaming addiction, bullying/cyberbullying, and violence against minors.
