As part of the “Balalar Kitapkhanas” project, the Kostanay Polytechnic College held the “Otbasylyk Oku” event, which aimed to promote family reading. The event was attended by teachers and parents of students, who shared their experiences of introducing children to books and discussed the importance of reading in family education.

The participants emphasized that a love for books is formed from an early age. It is in the family that children take their first steps into the world of literature, listening to fairy tales, exploring illustrations, and learning to understand characters and their actions. Reading together helps to strengthen the bond between parents and children, develops imagination, speech and outlook.

The action was a good opportunity to remind about the importance of the book in the modern world. Family reading unites generations and helps to preserve interest in literature.
