On September 22, 2024, students from Kostanay Polytechnic Higher College participated in the Pizza Pitch event, organized by Qostanai Hub at the Smart Center of A. Baitursynov Kostanay Regional University — an innovative platform aimed at supporting startups and developing entrepreneurial skills among youth. Pizza Pitch is a unique platform where emerging startups have the opportunity to present their ideas to a wide audience, including experts, investors, and other startup founders.

The event program included pitching, eating pizza, and a disco for all Pizza Pitch participants. Participation in such an event was an important step for the college students, as it not only helps them develop public speaking and persuasion skills but also provides a chance to receive valuable feedback from professionals, find potential partners, and attract investors.

In the “pitch” format (a 3-minute short presentation), student Alexander Bezdietny of group BTP-5, under the supervision of scientific advisor M.M. Uaisova, presented his project “Parking,” which included innovative solutions in the areas of digitalization and improving the quality of life in Kostanay Region and the city of Kostanay. The work was highly praised by the jury.

For the students of Kostanay Polytechnic Higher College, this was not only an experience in presenting their project in a real setting, but also an opportunity to learn to work effectively in a team, process feedback, and adapt to changing market demands. Their participation in Pizza Pitch demonstrates the region’s youth’s commitment to developing entrepreneurship and implementing new ideas.

Pizza Pitch also provided an important opportunity for networking: participants had the chance to interact with business representatives, government officials, and other startup founders, which contributes to the further development of their projects and careers. The support of Qostanai Hub’s initiative and the participation of students in such events emphasize the high level of preparation and the commitment to implementing innovative projects within the college’s educational program.
