On May 04, 2024 at the ski base of KSU “Children’s and Youth Sports School № 3” was held the Championship of paramilitary cross race, dedicated to the 79th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

The event was attended by 12 teams, including students of Kostanay Polytechnic Higher College from the MIC “Zhas Sarbaz” groups М-12, PO-7, ES-21.

Team composition: 6 people (boys 14-15 years old), 2 people (boys 16-17 years old), 2 people (girls 14-17 years old), 2 people.

The paramilitary cross combines technical actions – grenade throwing, precision shooting and physical abilities – middle distance running. The participants had to shoot accurately, throw a grenade accurately and run quickly, and all this happens against the background of fatigue, which makes this type of military-applied.

The paramilitary cross-country for boys was held at a distance of 1500 meters, with shooting and throwing a grenade weighing 500 grams at a distance. For girls at a distance of 1200 meters, with shooting and throwing a grenade weighing 500 grams at a distance.

According to the results of the competition the national team of the military-industrial complex “Zhas Sarbaz” was awarded a certificate of participation.
