The college hosted a practice-oriented master class “Creating educational chatbots to accompany the educational process,” dedicated to the use of modern digital tools in the teacher’s activities. The event was attended by 16 teachers of various disciplines interested in introducing artificial intelligence and automated assistants into educational practice.
The master class was built in the format of active practical work. Under the guidance of tutors, teachers step by step mastered the process of creating a chat bot based on the Telegram messenger, starting with the registration of the bot and ending with its pedagogical setting. Particular attention was paid to the methodically correct use of the chatbot as an assistant teacher, and not his replacement.
During the lesson, each participant developed his own chatbot on the subject that he leads. The created bots can be used to answer typical questions of students, explain terms, support independent work and consulting support for students. Thus, teachers received not only new knowledge, but also a ready-made digital tool that can be immediately introduced into the educational process.
The final stage of the master class was the discussion of possible scenarios for the use of chatbots in college and the exchange of impressions. All participants noted the practical value of the event and its relevance in the context of digitalization of education. As a result of the master class, each teacher was issued a certificate of participation.
Such events contribute to the development of digital and AI competencies of teachers, the formation of an innovative educational environment and the expansion of the possibilities of pedagogical support for students.
