In the second year, social connections become stronger, but the risk of disagreements also increases. The mentor hour was dedicated to the art of constructive dialogue. Objectives: preventing destructive behavior: reducing conflict and preventing bullying in the student environment; teaching mediation: developing the ability to find compromises and redirect controversial situations constructively; fostering responsibility: educating students about the direct impact of their personal behavior on the safety and emotional well-being of others.
Conflict isn’t always bad if you know how to resolve it correctly. Students discussed personal responsibility for their words and actions, as well as the importance of empathy.
A “win-win” case study was conducted, where students sought compromises in contentious situations without compromising their opponents’ dignity.
Students were provided with tools for peaceful dispute resolution and realized that everyone is responsible for the group climate.
The DosbolLIKE program aims to create a safe and supportive environment at college, prevent bullying, and develop communication skills that will be useful to students in their future professional careers.
