The Electrical Engineering Department of the Kostanay Polytechnic College held a parents’ meeting on the topical issue of “Bullying and cyberbullying among teenagers.” The event was initiated and organized by the head of the department, G.L. Taikova.

      During the meeting with parents, the concepts of bullying and cyberbullying, their main forms, causes, and possible consequences for the psycho-emotional state of teenagers were discussed. Particular attention was paid to issues of digital security and the risks associated with students communicating on social networks and messengers.

       Parents were presented with characteristic signs that can be used to recognize in a timely manner that a child is facing bullying, as well as practical recommendations for building a trusting dialogue with teenagers. An interactive discussion was held on possible courses of action for families in cases of bullying and the need to cooperate with teachers and the college’s psychological services.

       The event helped raise parents’ awareness, foster a responsible attitude toward the problem of bullying, and strengthen cooperation between families and the college in preventing negative social phenomena among students.
