On January 31, 2025 in Zarechnoye village on the basis of the Sports and Recreation Center “Sport Life” the regional tournament on army hand-to-hand combat among military-patriotic clubs “Zhas sarbaz” of Kostanay region dedicated to the 36th anniversary of the withdrawal of Soviet troops from Afghanistan was held.

The purpose of the event is to form an idea of military duty and loyalty to the Motherland, military-patriotic education of youth and improvement of sportsmanship.

The regional tournament was attended by 14 teams, including students of Kostanay Polytechnic Higher College from the military-industrial complex “Zhas Sarbaz”. According to the regulations, there was a team composition of 8 people (boys 16-17 years old). These are students of groups A-3, M-12, M-13, M-14.

The competitions were held according to the Olympic system in accordance with the rules of army hand-to-hand combat, both individual and team.

According to the results of the competition in individual competition students of the military-industrial complex “Zhas Sarbaz” Kunak Ramazan and Shabanov Aslan were awarded diplomas and medals for the third place.
