At Kostanay Polytechnic Higher College, an environmental hour was held among 1st year students in the format of watching and discussing the documentary film “Trashed.”
The purpose of the event was to form an environmental culture among students and draw attention to the problems of environmental pollution. During the environmental hour, students watched a documentary study directed by Candida Brady. The famous actor Jeremy Irons acts as the host in the film.
The film tells about the global problem of waste accumulation and their impact on nature and human health. Jeremy Irons travels to various corners of the planet, exploring the effects of garbage pollution. The documentary shows real-life examples of huge landfills, plastic pollution in the oceans, toxic emissions and their impact on ecosystems and climate.
The film pays special attention to the problem of plastic pollution, which is becoming one of the most serious environmental threats of our time. The film also presents disturbing facts about the dangers of waste for animals, plants and humans.
In addition to highlighting the problem, the authors of the film propose possible solutions: reducing consumption, recycling, developing environmental awareness and a responsible attitude to nature.
Watching the film aroused great interest among students and became an occasion for discussing the importance of respect for the environment. Environmental Hour helped students think about the personal responsibility of each person for the preservation of nature and the future of our planet.
