On January 29, 2026, Kostanay Polytechnic Higher College held a career guidance event titled “Professional Try-Outs” for 9th-grade students of general secondary schools in the city.

Students from the following educational institutions took part in the event:
School No. 22 – 35 students;
School No. 23 – 11 students;
School No. 25 – 14 students;
School No. 27 – 27 students;
School No. 28 – 35 students;
School No. 29 – 29 students;
School No. 30 – 22 students;
School No. 31 – 18 students;
School No. 122 – 10 students;
Gymnasium of Tobyl – 12 students;
Druzhba Secondary School – 20 students;
Secondary School No. 1 of Tobyl – 10 students;
Zarechnoye Secondary School – 23 students.

During the event, students were provided with information about the college’s training programs, learning conditions, and employment opportunities for graduates. The format of professional try-outs allowed school students not only to gain theoretical knowledge but also to take part in practical classes conducted in educational laboratories and workshops.

Students became familiar with the following specialties: automation and control of technological processes, power supply, software engineering, bakery, pasta and confectionery production, standardization, metrology and certification, accounting and audit, elevator, flour milling, cereal and compound feed production, and mechanical engineering technology.

Practical sessions were conducted under the guidance of teachers and masters of industrial training. Participants completed tasks using professional equipment, asked questions of interest, and gained insight into real working conditions in various professions.

The event received positive feedback from students and became an important stage in their professional self-determination, helping them identify their interests and outline their future educational paths.
