Career Guidance Event at the KPVK

On January 28, 2026, a career guidance event titled “Professional Trials” was organized at the Kostanay Polytechnic Higher College for 9th-grade students from the city’s secondary schools.

The event aimed to broaden students’ understanding of modern skilled and technical professions, support their career self-determination, and foster interest in technical and vocational education.

A total of 142 students from the following general education institutions took part in the event:
School No. 15 – 17 students;
School No. 32 – 9 students;
Naushebayev Gymnasium – 16 students;
School No. 9 – 19 students;
School No. 115 – 36 students;
Zarechnaya School with the State Language of Instruction – 22 students;
A. Baitursynov Zarechnaya Secondary School – 23 students.

As part of the professional trials, participants became acquainted with the areas of training and specific features of study in the following specialties:
• baking, pasta and confectionery production;
• mechanical engineering technology;
• elevator, flour-milling, cereal and compound feed production;
• automation and control of technological processes;
• software engineering;
• technical maintenance, repair and operation of electromechanical equipment;
• accounting and audit;
• standardization, metrology and certification.

The college’s teaching staff organized demonstration and hands-on practical sessions, during which they explained the professional responsibilities of specialists, admission requirements, and employment prospects. Students completed practical tasks, received answers to their questions, and gained a general understanding of the selected fields of study.

Holding such events contributes to enhancing the effectiveness of career guidance activities and helps students make informed decisions about their future education.
