January 27 in Kostanay Polytechnic Higher College held a master class for teachers on the topic «Criterion evaluation in the lessons of special disciplines». The event was attended by 14 teachers.

The purpose of the master class was to familiarize teachers with the principles of criterion evaluation, its advantages and methods of implementation in the educational process. Within the framework of the event, the participants studied various assessment tools such as rubrics, checklists, assessment scales, methods of self- and peer-assessment of students. Special attention was paid to the practical application of these tools in teaching special disciplines.

During the master class, teachers not only received theoretical knowledge, but also had the opportunity to develop their own evaluation criteria for laboratory works, practical assignments and tests. The interactive format of the meeting allowed the participants to share their experience, discuss topical issues and find new approaches to assessing students’ professional competencies.

The participants highly appreciated the practical significance of the master class and noted that the knowledge gained will help to increase the objectivity of assessment, make the learning process more transparent and motivating for students. The introduction of the methods of criterion evaluation contributes to the improvement of the quality of specialist training and the development of the educational system as a whole.
