Training of highly qualified specialists is one of the priority tasks of any system of vocational education. This is especially important for an independent state striving for sustainable economic development. In this context, a significant role is played by vocational guidance activities that help young people to consciously choose their professional path.

On December 19, 2024 the teacher of Kostanay Polytechnic Higher College Lazarev R.N. conducted career guidance work among students of 9-th grades in the 5th school of Kostanay city. This event was an important step in informing schoolchildren about the opportunities offered by vocational education.

During the meeting Lazarev R.N. presented to the students detailed information about the directions of training offered by the college. Special attention was paid to:

Specialties of the college: schoolchildren were told about in-demand professions that can be mastered, and the prospects of employment after graduation.

Material and technical base: the practical orientation of training was emphasized, supported by modern equipment and laboratories.

Activities: students were told about competitions, conferences and other activities that contribute to the professional and personal development of students.

The teacher paid a lot of attention to the interaction with the students. The students were provided with information materials that helped them to familiarize themselves with the educational institution. In addition, a questionnaire survey was conducted to find out the vocational interests and preferences of the students.

During the meeting R.N. Lazarev answered numerous questions of the students concerning the conditions of enrollment, peculiarities of the educational process and prospects after graduation. Such a dialog allowed students to better understand how the chosen profession can affect their future and benefit not only them, but also the society as a whole.
