“Earth, bow to man!”

On April 12, mankind celebrates the World Day of Aviation and Astronautics. This year marks the 60th anniversary of the day when the first manned flight into space was carried out. This is a holiday of lofty dreams, searches, feats.

extracurricular event “Earth, bow to man!”, devoted to the Day of Cosmonautics was conducted at  Kostanay Polytechnic Higher College.

The purpose of the event was to foster a sense of patriotism, pride in the achievements of the human mind, a sense of belonging and pride in their homeland, people and history.

  During the event, students talked about the greatness of the feat of the first cosmonaut, recited poems from O. Sulemeinov’s poem “Earth, bow to man.” We noted that April 12 is a special day for Kazakhstan. Indeed, it was from the Kazakh land that the first cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin flew into space, it was Baikonur that became the main harbor, from where Soviet and then Russian and foreign ships left for space navigation. After a while, Kazakh cosmonauts, Tokhtar Aubakirov, Talgat Musabayev and Aydin Aimbetov, will also go into orbit from the space harbor located in our state.

In their speeches, students noted that such feats can only be performed by people who are not afraid of difficulties, who are aware of the enormous responsibility of the task assigned to him, selflessly love their homeland.

   Guest of the event – Almagambetov Beketay, head of the branch of the anti-nuclear movement “Nevada-Semey” in Kostanay and Kostanay region,

told the youth about the author of the poem “Earth, bow to man!”, about O. Suleimenov. In his speech, he noted that O. Suleimenov is a great patriot of the Earth, he is not only an outstanding writer, but also a public figure, the initiator of the creation of the public movement “Nevada – Semipalatinsk”.

Almagambetov Beketay, in his address to college students, noted that you need to protect the Earth, be courageous, go towards your goal, treat each other with warmth, not be afraid to be the first, not to give in to failure.
